I've been a bit confused about LF over the past few episodes: did he really not know what Ramsay was like? What would happen to Sansa? I have a hard time believing that, because it seems like Ramsay has a reputation, and wouldn't LF look into who he has singled out for Sansa, even if it won't last? But then, as nasty as LF is, I don't really peg him as someone who would be OK with Sansa suffering.

What am I missing?

^ He just lying to her since he act like he doesn't know, but I think that in somewhere inside of him, he knew that Ramsay is truly bad person.. I mean, he always have backup plans in no matter what as long he want something that he goes after..

Are you my twin?

That's exactly what I think of LF too I think ppl underestimate LF because of his roots and his source of income but Varys sees to climb so far takes more than ambition

LF leaving Sansa to Ramsay has earned him my wrath he married her to a freak and there's no way he had no idea. As Sansa isn't an expert player to put her in that position was vicious not to mention very ill thought out it was so OOC I can't believe I didn't say something before. He gave her Maidenhead to a sadistic wonnabe.

Yup, that is what the producers are saying...I find it hard to believe, but they are saying he didn't know. There is a link to the interview in the episode thread.

Yes.

As much as Littlefinger likes to PRETEND that he's always in the know about everything, there's just no way that, realistically, he could be.

he had no idea that Ramsay is such an ass but on the other hand he well knows she can be in danger.

I find it hard to believe that LF was so ignorant. I mean when I think about it, it seems that on the show at least LF is seen as Varys's real competitor. Varys is the spider, unless you got a network you can't compete wouldn't his connections told him of the Boltons cruelty?

^ Both Littlefinger and Varys may ACT like they know everything about everyone, but it just isn't realistic for them to actually be as omniscient as they pretend to be.

Any issues people are having with this are a result of their own faulty expectations, not with the writing itself.

It's actually good that Littlefinger didn't know that Ramsay is a psychopath because it shows that he's not as omniscient as he pretends he is and that he does have weaknesses beyond just being a scumbag.

Good point but since Cersei has sources in the North, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to believe that LF does too. I personally think it shows how twisted LF is. He got one over the Lannisters giving away a woman of the House Lannister. He may have loved Catelyn and no else is good enough - if could have her..fine. But not, then everyone else could die according to LittleFinger.
